Gypsy

$35.00

Lancelot’s unusual and beautiful offspring “Gypsy” will always stand out in a crowd. Her unique facial markings including the spots on her nose make her easy to identify, but it is her gaze that will hold onlookers spellbound. Somehow her Daddy let her get away at a young age (not what we have come to expect from Lancelot) and she is now a special addition to “Bolt’s” band where she seems to fit right in with ease. Bolt, although more comfortable with occasional human onlookers, is a stallion much like her daddy. He will always guide and protect his family well and Gypsy couldn’t be in a better band (other than her own family band).

It is wonderful to see these young horses develop, and as they do, their appearance can change quite a bit. How they look as foals and weanlings can change substantially as they move towards maturity, so never be surprised if coat color changes. Gypsy was much darker when she was very young, so she is a perfect example of this. It is always very helpful in identifying the horses when there are distinct facial markings, unique coat colors or leg markings, however a majority of the Big Summit herd are comprised of bays and many of those have no easily identifiable markings. This is when you really have to get really good at observing the little things!
